In 1931, Jesus appeared to a Polish nun. Sister Faustina wrote: "Jesus said to me, 'Paint an image according to the pattern you see, with the inscription: Jesus, I trust in You. Every soul believing and trusting in My Mercy will obtain it.'" The message soon spread far and wide. Saint John Paul II made Divine Mercy Sunday an annual feast for the whole church on the Sunday after Easter. Feast Day: October 5 Patronage: Divine Mercy
