Though Thomas is often remembered for his doubt when hearing of Christ's Resurrection, his response to meeting the Risen Savior was faith-filled: "My Lord and my God!" According to tradition, when the apostles began their missionary journeys, Thomas traveled all the way to India. Thomas was martyred by the spear after converting the local queen. The Christian community he left behind preserved the true faith for over a thousand years. Feast Day: July 3 Patronage: Architects, Builders, Carpenters
