In her early life, she had a deep love for Jesus which led her to become a nun. At the age of 15, she entered the Carmelite Monastery in Lisieux, France. During her time as a nun, she developed her "little way" of holiness and became an extraordinary example of love. She wrote down her spiritual experiences in a journal which was later published as her autobiography, "The Story of a Soul."
