Saint Amelia - Born in 741 near Belgium, St. Amelia was preparing to become a nun when she caught the attention of the young Charlemagne. She struggled with him, and when he broke her arm it was miraculously healed and Charlemagne relented. Legend has it that Amelia later crossed a nearby river on a fish! She founded a church in Temsche and became known for her virtue and miracles. Feast Day: July 10 Patronage Broken Arms Farmers Fishermen Young People
